I've ordered a set of Sylvania gray plate 6cg7's. I'll give them a try. I'm sure I'll buy many more driver tubes before settling on a trio. There's an old electronics shop that I know of in PA that has shelves upon shelves of tubes that no one has touched since 1976, and the last I knew, no one had any intention of touching them. They were an RCA retailer back in the day. I'm hoping to find some options there.Thanks for the speaker info. I'll look into the Wensor.
