When one does this, the very virtue of having equal/ opposite
magnetic flux induced in a unified SINGLE core which counteracts
core magnetization and allows PP OPTs to have greater power
output and lower frequency extension for a given core size due
to less saturation.IMHO, using two SE OPTs to build a pseudo PP opt is like combining
the weak points of both topologies into one less efficient more
expensive package.Sure, I guess if one were on a desert island and had no other choices,
then one might be forced into such a design.-T.M.
