...can emulate a PP transformer. Steve Deckert did it in the first version of his Torii EL34 PP. I can't vouch for how well it works or exactly how it is done, but probably the secondaries are in series, and the primaries also, with the connected inboard ends of the primaries going to ground as a virtual center tap, and the outboard ends of the primaries connected to the output tubes. You could search the Decware website for a white paper about it.
