Hi ,
Sometimes the getter ring/foil disc or whatever is not evenly coated with the gettering material and makes an eneven shape , sometimes forming an 'island' . I'll have to find the page in the book to find the oven temperature . Why don't you build up a simple common cathode circuit to test the valves first though ?cheers
