Dear All,I'm unable to post pictures now, but today I received 2 pair of tubes trough (independent) ebay sales. The tubes are a pair of RWN Neuhaus type Aa tubes and a pair of Siemens Sif Ba tubes.
Of both pairs, one tube has considerable less flash residue than the other and a white 'haze' inside them (concentrating around the flash residue). Also of these tubes it appears that the flash residue has gone loose from the bulb, in one tube the residue lies loose inside the tube.
I'm not able to test these tubes, and I'm actually ufamiliar with these old tubes. The haze and the loose flash residue might be normal.
I suspect the vacuum of these tubes is not intact anymore. What would be a good way to test them? Just put voltage on the filament and see if the filaments glows normally? Or could you already say that these tubes are dead on arrival.
Regards,
NC
