Re: grid bias with batteries

Hi Lew, I've been using Sony CR2477 Lithiums in my Phono with great success. These a large button cells measuring about 3.2V. After approx 2yrs they are still within a few hundredths of a volt of their measured voltage when new. From past experience with these batteries in some of our wireless security products I'd expect to get 10 years from them.

In my application these sound great unbypassed, without any hint of added noise. Perhaps those that report better sonics bypassed are either using them in a series configuration or maybe it's just dependent on the battery type ... as I said the CR2477s are particularly large batteries.
