Home Tube DIY Asylum

Do It Yourself (DIY) paradise for tube and SET project builders.

Dumb question...bear with me

63.251.152.4

I am not DHT or CCS savy so pardon the dumb stuff.

Now when you say CCS heating...and considering that in a DHT the filament is the cathode....does CCS heating imply a differential amp with a CCS (on cathodes) to insure equal idle cuurent through both tubes?.....or are we just talking a normal cathode biased circuit with current regulation in the heater supply? I want to make sure I understand this so I can get it right the first time.
