I had a PIONEER CT-S530 that had a feature to boost high frecuency response from those tapes which showed low levels on these frecuency response. It performed an automatic analisis on tape response. This deck was a mid-90 deck with no Dolby S.It performed very well. It made my old bad recordings sound better. It would be an 'automatic playtrim'. The feature was called "FLEX".
