Mine is the 4-track version, purchased on Ebay, and I can't account for how great it sounds. I still remember when I cued up the tape, the SACD and the Classic vinyl (not the 45 rpm version, however) at a party and had them so well synched and level-matched that we could switch back and forth seamlessly via the Conrad Johnson remote. Never managed to achieve that again! I really wasn't expecting the tape to win, but it was unanimous.I too keep bidding on the Kind of Blue tape (I'd be happy to get the 4-track version) and reluctantly drop out when the price gets stratospheric.
