The big problem with playing back commercial tapes is not the tapes but what they are played back on, almost all of the electronics in available RTR decks is crap, there are hardly any decks out there that can even stand up to the lower high end electronics out there that's why it's unfair to compare to vinyl because the vinyl playback available is so much better.
