We've discussed the idea of 192/24 transfers, and we'd like to avoid it if possible. However it can sound pretty good to D/A that 192/24 back onto 1" 2 track. One thing in our favor is the number of independents out there these days. Yeah, Sony and the other multinational monsters are going to be a tough nut to crack, but as I said, Winston has proven that some labels are willing to let the master out of the vault. And I think we have other resources at our disposal that other labels may not have, both in terms of unreleased material by independents and in the potential for new recordings. Flexibility will certainly have to be incorporated in our method, and if it turns out that we can only get the sound we want by doing our own recordings, we have the means to do so.
