Actually, I have both a very low open loop output impedance and I also use global feedback in the JC-1 power amp. What is important here is that the open loop output impedance damps the error signal, BEFORE the feedback loop has to do anything to correct it. This factor was noted in Otala's preprints on IIM distortion in both 1978 and 1980.
