In an issue of Sound and Video Contractor back in the late 80s, one manufacturer of speakers for professional installations observed that the audiophile wire manufacturers' sales pitch to him wasn't that the wire was better, they knew they could never sell that snake oil to the pros but that the audiophiles among their customers expected to see this "superior" product in high quality equipment and therefore it would be a way to convince them as an advertising talking point to buy theirs over the competition's. The fact that the speakers are wired in series parallel combinations will make small differences in resistance even less significant in the circuit than it otherwise would be and the likelihood that the leads are separated to facilitate wiring means that their capacitance and inductance as a manufactured pair also has no bearing on the circuit. RR puts it in for the advertising fluff for the very same reason people here believe in it, they want their cake iced with snake oil even if it's oderless and tasteless. Often that's what selling products is much about.
