Re: Yo, Marvin..

jc: ""
I did measure diode like effects in my wires.""

No. What you measured was an artifact of the equipment you were using. You made the incorrect assumption that it was a "diode", and then, a "diode like effect".

jc: ""
By the way, I talked at length at the AES with Bruno, and we agree that the differences in our test methods most probably made the difference. However, we both found that it was in the GROUND RETURN portion of the cable that the difference in distortion was generated.""

No shit sherlock. What gave you the clue?? Was it my constant haranging about your test methodology, the fact that you didn't baseline your equipment for capabilities? Was it the fact that I posted statements to the effect that it was the shield loop currents with the front panel, that your attempt to lower harmonics with a capacitor to ground was forcing ground currents into the loop?

Did you finally READ all my posts where I stated such??? Or, perhaps Bruno read them and agreed?

jc: ""
I did not know this at the very first, because I measured the cable assembly as a whole, but after many trials I came to realize this.""

BS..you were told it repeatedly, and refused to accept it.

Don't believe me??? Search the archives here, you will find all I have stated.

jc: ""
I told Jon Risch about this years ago.""

So? I told the housemaid at a Holiday Inn..what does it mean?

jc: ""
You, with your initial attitude condemning my measurements, made any further communication about my findings a waste of time.""

Actually, all he did was try to engage in a civil, technical discussion about your methods and results. It was you who attacked him as a result of his fine efforts.

Cheers, John
