Hi.We were talking sound analogue vs digital - CD. I said DVD-auido 24bit/192Hkz sounds so much better than CD, & even HDCD audio used in HD-DVD which is only 20bits.
Someone here jammed in & insisted that some better new audio digital format WILL be invented basing the Blu-ray technology potentially up to 27GB capacity.
But would those bigboy movie-oriented Blu-ray machine makers WANT to invest on the very minute market of hi-end audio ? This is a big big businees decision. Even if this would be their minor priority in the future, my question is: WHEN this would ever happen ??????
DVD is not fully developed yet. Again it is a business decision.
Technically, a DVD-18 double-sided dual-layer can hold up to 15.9 GB.Who cares if the Almighty would promise mankind the Kingdom Come
in God-knows-when future. DVD-audio is already here for we audiophiles & music lovers. We can now enjoy superb music with playback hardwares & music softwares AFFORDABLY available.
An apple in hand is far better than tons on the tree, right?
