The main challenge is for academics and manufacturers...

...to recognize the reality of what thousands of hands-on audiophiles experience as personal knowledge, and adjust themselves accordingly.

As I first wrote over ten years ago, when someone comes up with an understanding of CD audio that allows him to build a player that's impervious to fine tuning applications ("tweaks"), then I'll buy it; meanwhile I'm happy with a $200 Jolida. Anything more is wastful.

Or, take Absolute Polarity. Where are the switches? Where are the switches?

Finally, power cords. If power supplies and the grid feed were adequately understood, these would be unnecessary. Meanwhile one must make do.
