"The realty" is...

Hi.

to keep the business going by building & selling more hardwares out the door. It's the consumers in the marketplace who dictates the
mainstream trend of revenue making.

What is hot hot electronic merchandizes today & the near future are iPODs, & flat panel TVs. Hi-end audios may be icing on the cake if there are still minute minority of consumers appreciate how good they are.

My answer to your commnets:

(1) CD is going if not gone yet. Sonically, its replacment now ready in full boom with affordable supporting music sofeware on-line, is DVD-audio. A digital bigbrother with uncompressed superb stereo sound
(24bit 192KHz auido DAC) that blows CD media away regardless how costly a top-end CD player can claims to deliver. IMO, it's a real change to the finest analogue music programmes.

A brandname universal DVD-audio/video player sells lsss than 200 bucks.

(2) No "polarity" switch? Have one built in your amp then. No big deal.

(3) Don't get the wrong idea. A power cord is only a passive device which can do nothing to suppress EMI/RFI coming from the AC mains outlet. We need more 'aggressive' measures to tackle serious noisy situtions.
