Problem seem to be more with Teflon than Silver. Silver due to its stiffness just make Triboelectric effect of Teflon insulation more pronounced. Personally I don't like [too] stiff ICs. They are harder to hide/maneuverable.Me either.
Anyway, I really have no idea exactly why I haven't got on so well with Teflon and silver. May have absolutely nothing to do with any objective technical aspects. I just know that neither has given me the best result. *shrug*

Since when has my being generous been any surprise? I've given away quite a lot of stuff over the years. Recently I've given away a WBT crimping tool, some transistors, some Vampire OCC magnet wire, a set of Eichmann Bullet Plugs, and probably a couple of other things I can't think of off the top of my head. :)
