Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

Understanding what?? Look at your posts..

First, you said:

The recording engineers stopped hearing differences when the filter started rolling off at 20kHz and finished at 25kHz.

Note there is no mention of which aspect of the filters was changed, merely that something was.
The second time, you said:

Sorry, I had thought I'd said that all of the filters started to roll off at 20kHz, and the thing that changed was the far end of the filter cutoff.
You know, I did:
The recording engineers stopped hearing differences when the filter started rolling off at 20kHz and finished at 25kHz.

Note that the second sentence IN THE SAME POST does not convey the same content as the first.

The third time, you said:

In any case, it's not the highest frequency, since that stayed constant, and I said so, clearly, in the first post. How y'all came to that idea I don't really know.

So, here...I'll re-paste your own words...Please pay attention to the RED portions of what YOU said..

First: ""all of the filters started to roll off at 20kHz, and the thing that changed was the far end of the filter cutoff.

Then, you say: it's not the highest frequency, since that stayed constant

Perhaps you should re-read your posts, and get back to us with what it is your really meant to say..I believe you are too concerned with trying to make others look ridiculous, and not paying enough attention to what you should be typing..

You can tell everybody they don't know what they are talkng about till the cows come home.

The FACT is, in YOUR posts, you are saying OPPOSITE things, like a light being turned on and off.

Hopefully, you are not color blind, and can see what I have been saying..you are inconsistent in what you say.

That is why I still do not know if you understand anything you are talking about..you disagree with yourself way too much..

You must be consistent in fact if you wish to be listened to..so far, you have not been that.

Cheers, John
