The speakers you now own are better than the NS10's. "Studio monitors" are speakers which are suppose to be manufactured with much tighter standards than other speakers. In other words, if you purchased a pair of "studio monitors" in New York, Miami, Chicago or LA, they are all suppose to sound alike. There are not claims for sonic accuracy or performance that can be substantiated.Years ago, "pro" equipment was always years behind "consumer" equipment. I think that to some degree, this might still be true. If you are still set on purchasing a pair of "studio monitors" see if they will allow you to take them home to compare with what you already own.
