I may lean toward demoing some studio speakers as you suggest. However, Norh claims less than +/-2db over the frequency range of their speakers. If flat midrange is whats important (and I agree) it seems that Norh may be an economical solution. However, I will check the yamahas out at Guitar Center. Thanks.
