Hmmmm. It should explode wonderfully. If you insist on trying it 1. stand on the other side of the room and turn it on with a power strip or a switched outlet.2. Do not look at it. 3.Wear safty glasses 4. get ready to say ohhh or ahh. If your going to cheat cheat on the the value not the voltage. Many filter caps have a tolerance of -10% to +50% that is if you go with a ssay 5000 uF to 10000 uf cap you have a chance that the real value will be ok. You might find some strange things happening if push the amp hard,as one rail will sag before the other. But please do not try to cheat the rated working voltage.
