Not upset at all sorry if you took it the wrong way. You are dead wrong about the 2" 24 track stuff. The Beatles never used more than 16 and most of even the "White Album" was recorded on 4 track (1968). The Doors were one of the most state of the art at the time and also never used more than 16 track. The Doors even went back to 8 track for their last album (1971) LA Women. Even in the late 1970s most rock music was done on 8 or 16 tracks. Van Halens first album done on 8 track is a great example. There were some bands using 2" 24 track but not many. You are 100% right about what goes in counts for more than what it goes into. It is all what you like in the end. I was just asking for some info is all sorry this turned into a debate on digital vs analog.
