Well, I just bought one of these old reel to reels. I had to make a snap decision but the price was right. I was in the market for a 8 track reel to reel but I found this deck for short cash. Before I get in a week or so can anyone tell me what I bought? (ha ha) I have always been an audio nut but never made it past a 4 track cassette tape machine before. I still need a mixer, any suggestions? What is the best tape to use (1/2)? What special care does one of these need?
Chances are I will not use more than 8 tracks most of the time but it is always nice to have a few extra...
Would be great to find someone who has or works with one of these decks... Thanks for any info!
