Adding two tracks isn´t complicated at all. It is actually very simple. The most complicated part is to make the dither calculations but that is the next stage of the mixing. So to add two signals can be made to be exact. The only difference would then be the sound of the dither noise. The actual signal could be exactly the same. However, the programmers sometimes make some fundamental mistakes and if I had to be their employer I must say they had to search for another job ;-).
