The mixbus of anything has a sound. Preferably that sound is almost nothing (or something really pretty ; )
You can only test it by doing a mix on one and copying the files to the other a and doing a mix. Files are transferable, just you can only record to protools if you have protools hardware or protools free. In the end they do both sound good, and I have not done extensive comparison because I like protools. I also like microsoft word and not wordperfect... its a lot of preference and you will hear arguments in both directions.
