Hey FMAK,Do you think your conclusion is a fair one, ie. comparing purpose built audio components that are dramatically more expensive to generic pc components that are a fraction of the cost, and concluding that the PC is in principle not a match?
Do you think this is a general conclusion that holds true regardless of the price and engineering of the computer, or just a specific conclusion (the PC transport that Fmak built doesn't compare to the DCS products)?
Along those lines, have you compared something like the Zero One transport (which is a less expensive but at least purpose built pc product)to the DCS equipment?
What about a comparison with similiarly priced pc and standard audio transports?
