Billington was a nominally British company that advertised in every issue of Glass Audio. They sold a huge variety of NOS and after-market tubes, and it seemed they had a source in China for many of the latter. Like you, I have not been able to find evidence of their continued existence, and the ones designated "Gold (pin) ECC81-01" went away even before the company did. They sounded so good and were so reasonably priced that I almost did not mind the fact that they wore out so quickly. I still have several; the Gm is down below 3000 from a norm of >5000 on my Hickok tester, which is admittedly not accurate. And the sonics have wilted too.
