I just turned on the input and driver stage supplies and measured the bias voltage being delivered at the grids of each output tube. Sadly, in terms of solving this problem, all six output tube grids are seeing sufficient grid voltage (ca -37V) to keep them from running away (pulling a ton of current, that is). So I'm back to square one. Further suggestions are welcome.
