works for horns but any other speaker there is so little gain it makes the amp impractical without an additional gain stage, which obviates any benefit from the circuit. So IMO you're better off with the stock circuit if you speaker is less that 103 db 1 watt/1 meter.

There is far more benefit by changing coupling caps or installing some of the driver power supply updates to eliminate modulation in the power supply.
