I want to thank both you guys. I will indeed pick up the Rozenblit book. Sounds like the appropriate introduction. It seems tube manufacturers more than just about any other designers, are extremely set in thier beliefs...and two differing views can still each be part right and part wrong. Will keep that in mind when reading.
Will take up Lew on his kind offer to answer questions more directly, when I've researched and know more what it is I feel I need/want to know. Thanks again for helping me start on what is sure to be an interesting journey!-Jef
