OTL for inefficient loads

OTL, Output Transformerless Amplifier User Group.

Other than AtmaSphere, it seems most OTL manufacturers produce amps with relatively modest output. AtmaSphere would have been ok but the price is rather prohibitive.
I'm wondering if that means that if one has difficult speakers (perhaps like my Martin Logan Quest and MG3.5R) then it is unlikely that I can go for an OTL (again other that AtmaSphere)
Any advice appreciated.
