Maybe the MA-1's and 2's the other posts describe are significantly more onerous, but all I can report is that with the M60's, which I used to own, ambient heat from the amps was a complete non-issue. Unless you put your face right down in front of the amps, say w/in a foot or two, the additional heat was not noticeable. A big strawman in my opinion. This is in West Texas, summer and winter usage, moderate-sized listening room (25 x 16 x 9)
