Here in Houston it gets hotter 'n Hell about 6 months out of the year. I have the 12 tube per chassis MA1s. I had to put in a separate unit for the listening room (that also included 2 small rooms that are on the west side of the house, gets hot there anyway, and the old a/c registers are in the floor to make matters worse). Now I have registers up high (better). It's a little noisier, so quiet classical music doesn't work quite as well. The cost of the extra central unit was about like a pair of M60s. At the same time, I had separate ac lines run to the listening room as well, one of them 220V and I run the MA1s from that (re-wired, of course).
