Your experience is normal in the land of 6AS7Gs. This is the price of admission. Please be aware that our amplifiers will still works just fine, even with this kind of
disparity in matching. The ones that hog most of the plate current will probably be the first to fail, however. 6AS7Gs most always test well in tube testers. The
tester's circuit is very different than the circlotron output of our amplifiers, so there's no correlation. Perhaps we should all build our own 6AS7G testers, duplicating
