I have an XA-777ES that has been essentially problem-free since early 2001. However, there is one small, logic related issue that pops up every so often. It's the same as yours. If I leave the machine on and have a SACD inside or put even a new SACD in, then push play, no sound will come out, although the timer shows the disc is moving. For Teresa's benefit I will note that this happens with both hybrid and single layer SACDs. It only happens in 2CH. I turn the machine off and on and it works fine. I never get the problem in MCH.To me, it's not a big deal to occassionally turn the machine on and off. It's certainly not worth sending the machine in for several weeks. I believe that it is, as you suggested. a logic and not a transport or software problem. It is probably unique to the XA-777ES
