I agree totally that LP sounds bettter than SACD, when compare an apple with an apple. You don't need an extremely expensive turntable system to hear the difference. The SACD, by comparison, are flatter and less dynamic than the LP. But SACD in general sound better than ordinary red book CD. The SACD, like CD, is quieter than LP and more convenient as well. Anyway, I do not agree that had they found an unplayed record, they would have created a better digital master from that record rather than using the original master tapes.
