I started my headphone journey with HD580's and the "Little" Headroom amp, then onto the K701's and a PS Audio GCHA. I just picked up a used pair Rev 2 on ebay and I have had them for about one week. I love them! The high's might not sparkle like the 701's but they sound more natural or organic if you will.
The GCHA lack's bass weight, especially with the 701's but as soon as I plugged in the LCD-2's I gained that weight back. Can't say enough about the Audeze's, love everything about them (except the weight).
I am currently researching for a good <$1000 tube amp (Lyr?) so stay tuned.
