Yeah, meets are more often gab fests although at least you get some idea of the equipment.

I would call the LCD-2 "rolled" on the top end. No sparkle at all. I got flamed for that over at head-fi but so be it. Best thing about them is the sub-bass, really stygian. Other than that, it was not a can for me. You might want to take one of your other cans just to make sure what the differences are. Good luck.

BTW, the only other planar magnetic I've had decent experience with is the HiFiMan HE-5LE. Better but still not enough sparkle on top. Perhaps some of the others would be brighter, HE-400/500/6.

This is all IMO, of course.
