If you have a recording where the digital master is 50K or below (which is the vast majority of them) there's no point to releasing with greater sampling rates. The number of SA-CD releases that come from these recordings is fairly significant. If you have analog tapes, where the media has any degradation, that's going to be equivalent (performance wise) to a 48K or less digital recording as the first thing to go is the high frequency information.

So which is worse, forcing a bogus high resolution rate onto an older digital recording (as is mandatory for SA-CD) or preserving the original? If the goal is fidelity to the original signal the answer is "leave it as is".

I don't expect you to comprehend this though, as you don't typically partake in rational discussions.
