I usually see deer tracks on my walks in this area. In fact there are deer tracks outside of this frame. I think these might be a bobcat. The shoe included for perspective is a size 12. People have seen bobcats in the area. I haven't seen one (yet).
Follow Ups:
Too big for a bobcat.
Cats have retractable claws and my guess is those are the tracks of a big Lab or similar. That is not a bad thing!
If I saw those tracks in my yard I'd say one of the neighborhood bears had been by.
We see them several times a year and a younger one might leave a print like that.
Dean.
reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
I'm going with Occam's razor. I'm no tracker, but I think it's a dog.
My Rhodesian Ridgeback, Brixton, had paws almost as big as my hand....I'm Large to Extra Large glove size.
I imagine he has large feet.
That is a big paw.
Haha...I used to call him Longshanks! More Lion than Lion-Dog.

This is mine waiting for her mom to come home.
We don't have any dogs in my area with feet this large. These prints are 3-4" across.
You might not know of anyone in your area with a dog that size, or it could be a stray moved through there but nobody you know spotted it.
The prints will look larger if the ground was a bit wet when the animal moved through.
Coyotes aren't that big. Wolves would be though. You got any in your neck of the woods?
The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.
But some coyotes that have interbred with wolves.
My sister used to have a German wire-haired pointer and it left tracks like that, too.

The largest dog in my area is a wolf hound, but they don't take him out there. We baby sat him once. I'm not sure his paws are even that large.
Their paws were that big.

I tried Google Lens. That didn't help. I then Google'd around for various paw prints but that just led me down a rabbit trail. I guess there's no substitute for being an experienced tracker which I am not.You could research animals that frequent the park / land that you were on.
Could be a large dog or bobcat.

P.S. Nice shoes. I'm looking for a good pair of slip-ons ;-)

Sketcher Go Walks .
I have a pair of Columbia Sportswear brand but I need another. I'm browsing the different color choices and went for the orange racing stripe.

I recently went retro with some Adidas Superstar Courts.
As for Columbia, I've been walking today in some of their comfortable hiking boots. Enjoy having a bunch of their Omniheat apparel.
I'll be sporting my Omni-Heat down jacket (+ gloves) at the rodeo on Monday which will see single-digit cold temps. Events are mostly indoors but walking from building to building will be outside.
And we'll see the Extreme Dogs ;-)
I went back to the site and added a tape measure in the pic. The tracks are already deteriorating, but can still be seen. They are 3-4" across.
That's one big dog! Or something else.

How soft was the soil? The softness of the soil, the size of the print, the number of toes, the shape of the "heel" (whatever it's called) and the depth of the print are all clues.
Search Google for "animal paw prints", and you'll get more results than you have time to read. Also, your local Animal Control people might know.
Based on my armchair casual thought, I'd say it's definitely either a pooddy-tat or a grizzly bear. Maybe cougar or mountain lion. But I doubt if it's a leopard or cheetah. ;) Could even be a large dog. But probably not a leopard or cheetah.

I looked at tracks online. Typically, bobcat tracks are not quite this large, but a neighbor reported seeing a large one. We do have a black bear in the area. The track looks too small for a bear. I know all of the local dogs. Of the large ones, there are border collies, labradoodles, golden doodles and standard poodles. None of these have a foot this large. We don't have grizzlies, or cougars.

I trust that you 'got' the humor.
There's the possibility that it's a very large dog. I know two dogs which are each over 120 pounds! (And they're both teddy bears.)
Anyway, I don't think it's a grizzly bear print, either.

Grizzly have a little longer paws and claws.
Somebody should follow those dog prints. Might lead to a big, smelly cave somewhere....
Most likely dog. Cats don't extend claws when they walk.
At least that's what I've been told.
exactly, I'm no tracker, but know that cats have retractable claws, so it's definitely a big foot using technology from another dimension to leave deceptive footprints.
the only puma tracks I have ever seen didn't include claws. As Sherlock homes espoused, the obvious answer usually is the answer.
It's why you can't hear them walk up behind you in the kitchen, when you have a pan full of hot grease in one hand and a sharp knife in the other and you trip over the cat.
BTW, the cat is always fine. You, on the other hand...
Anyway, the track in the pic is a dog track.
