I have removed a Hammond 193C choke from my phono preamp, and tried as parallel AC filter for the CD player and FM tuner. I'm also plan to try it with my monoblocks, but it is a bit more complicated fullfill, beacause they are direct connected to the electronic meter. The CD,radio and phono also have a unique path, but they are connected to a strip because I use only one at a time.
After a ten days experiment. I'm rather pleased with this kind of filtering. So my question: which is the best choke for this purpuse ?
193C is a 20 Henry, 100 mA device. I live in a 230V country, and which Hammond choke is the most appropriate for this purpose ?
Or any other manufacturer suggested ?Next question: how does this solution perform relative to the PS Audio Noise Harvester ? Any experience ?
Thanks: Ferenc
