KP...I am talking about hard wiring the component / PLC power cord to the house wiring. Simple wire nuts for the experiment will do.Do not hard wire the choke...not necessary....this experiment will teach how electrical sounds (audio and video quality) so the next time anyone compares outlets, plugs, or even tweaks...they will know if what they are hearing is added harmonic distortion or true 60Hz. In my opinion, the choke provides the closest thing to 60Hz reproduction that I have ever tried. It's not perfect...but it's damn close.
