I recently purchased a Purepower APS 700 regenerator. It powers my system: /LSA/DK Signature integrated/Modwright Sony 999/ Jolida 100- modded/ Reimer Wind River GS speakers/ Acoustic Zen Satori sc's and Reference Matrix IC's w/ various aftermarket PC's. This regenerator replaced a Shunyata Hydra 4 conditioner. Truly brought my system to a level I did not know was possible. I've struggled with the sonics in my system for the last 7 months and I'm finally hearing what I expected in the beginning. The insertion of the Purepower has especially made me re-evalutate the quality of the Jolida and even the Modwright, both of which I've been considering selling. The Purepower brought the Modwright to a higher level than before. The Wind Rivers have a wider deeper soundstage, a more open window on the recording, more clarity, seperation of instruments and imaging. I'm not saying that you should necessarily purchase a Purepower, but by all means consider one of the available regenerators out there to power your sources at minimum. I believe a regenrator that can power your entire system is the best approach, but I believe that just powering your sources can reap some serious sonic benefits. Of course there's the Premier from PS Audio, which I've also considered, and I recently read a very nice review of a reasonably priced regenerator from Monarchy in the Affordable Audio ezine. What I am saying is that it's likely that you haven't heard your system's potential without the quality power provided by a regenerator. In my experience, a quality regenerator can get you there.
