My apologies - my glossary needs polishing...

I may have been hasty with my ideas. I guess my ultimate goal is improved sound, and I'm of the philosophy that the less you have between the source and the output, the better. What I'm looking for is to reduce the "possible" effects of the output caps on the sound quality. By lowering the capacitance, I thought that the response/discharge time would be reduced, allowing better 'slam' than with larger value caps. I misused 'dynamic' in my original post it appears. It's not bad in its current state, but always looking to improve : )

My assumption that a transformer would block DC voltage is wrong too, so I guess that may be out of the question. I suppose I should post (or search) in the Tubes section to find out just what the output transformers do, other than bring the voltage down.

I know some inmates are probably shaking their heads right now.... I'm learning, and am grateful for your patience and thoughtful responses.
