Interesting and may be worth looking into. My amp is on a Sistrum amp stand and it is working fine. However, I have two of these Adona granite/MDF platforms I used to use on an old rack of mine in lieu of the stock shelves. I was thinking of using these to make my own Prometheus base ala Machina Dynamica for a couple of new components I have, but so far haven't found a source for viseo elastic damped springs. I'm sure someone out there has them, I just haven't had time to look thoroughly.So, based on your post I thought I could use the nimbus devices, but in an effort to really save some money maybe use hockey pucks or the Blue Circle foam pucks. I could use cones on the bottom of one of the platforms to couple it to the floor, then the pucks or nimbus devices, and then the top shelf sitting on those. I would most likely isolate the component from the top shelf as well.
Nonthe less, you've given me some good ideas...
