HowdyAfter looking at a HRS M3 Isolation Base (http://www.avisolation.com/isolationbase.html) that was on loan to me I decided that I'd check into the cost of granite locally.
A local yard just charges a flat rate for a remnant, we got 4 19" x 19 1/2" x 3cm and 4 15" x 17" x 3cm pieces of nice granite polished for $800.
I know that HRS has a lot of engineering and offers a variety of compliances of feet for their isolation base, but since I had a bunch of their Nimbus Couplers on hand I used three of them under each granite slab. Since my amps are very heavy in the front and light in the rear I put two pucks in front and one in the rear.
Here are some pictures. They sound just about as good as the M3s tho I haven't done any A/Bs yet.
