I think you may have misunderstood me.

I absolutely believe you when you say the dedicated ground offers you an improved sound. I think the thing I keep saying and you either don't believe or don't understand is: it is possible to engineer a NEC compliant ground system which meets or even exceeds the performance of your dedicated ground. It is a more difficult goal to achieve in the end but better on many many levels.

It is not like this dedicated ground you have is some magical thing. It sounds like the dedicated grounds quality may be quite good and it may take some serious thought and design level planning not to mention troubleshooting your existing systems weaknesses and maybe even a bit of cash outlay to approach/surpass what you and your buddy have in place already. I guarantee you this: it is not impossible to do better and still meet code requirements.
