What is the easiest way to cleaning ARC SP8 noisy volume pot?

I have a ARC SP8 MKII preamp, but the volume pot is a little noisy with I change volume from 7 to 10 o'clock position. Any advise on how to cleaning the volume pot without taking it apart?
