Hi ,
Try using a fibreglass pencil to remove the oxidisation , after that push into hard polystyrene to remove the gunk and polish clean with a cottonbud dipped in isopropynol . An alternative method is to find a swarf pot-scourer and use this instead . Wire brushes can leave scratches , acid can remove plating . Fibreglass pencils are far gentlercheers
